Somewhere else

[part of The Fallen poems]

It’s some time in the middle of the night,
I stumble through St Mary Street past closed pubs
with an empty bottle of a random beer in my hand.
I’m trembling – it’s the cold, it’s the alcohol,
it’s the misery, it’s the sadness.
Dawn will come but the world’s pitch black now
and I don’t know whether
I will still be around by then.
I feel the weight of her life lying on my shoulders
and how she takes my hope away
but has no real use for it.
Aurora will come but the world’s pitch black now
and I doubt whether
I will still be around by then.
It’s some time in the middle of the night,
I stumble through an unknown street past faint lanterns
with empty hands.
I’m trembling – it’s the hunger, it’s the forsaken,
it’s the non-existence, it’s the endlessness.
Red sky will come but the world’s pitch black now
and I don’t know whether
I will still be around by then.

  1. Wann ech lo provozéire wéilt, géif ech behaapten, dass ech enttäuscht war, dass net den Text vu Razorlight do stoung. Mee ech wëll jo net provozéire, gell?

  2. Bis op “I was catching the sparks that flew from your heels” fannen ech déi Lyrics zwar net gudd, also posten ech se wuel och ni. An eigentlech ass “Rhododendron” vu Bloc Party gelaaf wéi ech et geschriwwen hun. :)

  3. Off Topic: Ech fannen mech an dengem Archiv net erem. Also ech wollt lo den Post mat den Datumen vun den CDen sichen, mee hun en fir d’frecken net fonnt. Also iwer Archiv gesin ech emmer nemmen eng sait an dann kommen ech net méi weider
